The Housemaid’s Secret
Freida McFadden does it again! I couldn’t put this book down—the end of every chapter suspensefully pulled me right into the next. This story is just as suspenseful and surprising as the first. Millie returns with a whole new set of situations to unravel, and everything unfolds in a brilliant, action-packed, and unexpected way. The ending… chills! I loved this book!
Remarkably Bright Creatures
This book had me hooked—I couldn’t stop listening. I probably should’ve paced myself, but I was too eager to find out what happened next! Tova is beautifully written: bright, kind, gentle, yet broken and strong. The supporting characters, Cameron and Ethan, add so much depth—their journeys bring both beauty and joy to the story. And Marcellus… such a wise and admirable perspective. My first 5-star read of the year—bittersweet, heartwarming, and truly memorable. I loved it!
Archer’s Voice
I really enjoyed this book. The story weaves in plenty of past drama that keeps you hooked from start to finish. I was fully prepared for a heartbreaking ending, but it actually wraps up on a happy, satisfying note. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a dramatic, dreamy love story. At its core, the book reminds us of the importance of truly listening to one another—not just waiting for our turn to speak.
Come Fly With Me
This is the first book I’ve picked up in a long time that wasn’t recommended by a friend. I sought this one out on my own to try something new and read from a new author—and I’m so glad I did! This book is beautifully written and celebrates the power of strong female friendships. It takes you through every emotion—love, heartbreak, anger, grief, and happiness—pulling at your heartstrings while still making you laugh and smile. I absolutely loved it. It gave me a deeper appreciation for what life was once like and reminded me just how important true friendships are.
The Tattooist of Auschwitz
Chilling. The author did a remarkable job capturing this tragic love story. You quickly grow attached to the characters while witnessing the horrors they endured. Lale’s story is one that everyone should read. I was left speechless by the end—so moving.
The Nightingale
Perfection in a book! Absolutely heart wrenching. This is such an exquisitely written book that covers a painful time period. I am choked up at the ending, but I thought it was a beautiful way to wrap up the book. I would recommend this to anyone & everyone. Isabel & Vianne’s stories are nothing short of remarkable, moving, tragic, and heroic.
The Last Letter
This story was beautiful and completely heartbreaking — the ending felt unnecessary but hit so hard. I loved reading the letters between the characters at the start of each chapter; they added such a personal, emotional touch. The strong sense of family throughout the book made the story feel real and deeply moving. The character growth and relationships built along the way were incredible — it’s a book full of happiness, love, and absolute heartbreak.
Sunrise on the Reaping
This book was an emotional rollercoaster! We learn so much about why Haymitch is the way he is in the Hunger Games trilogy. We get to meet a few familiar faces on Haymitch’s journey and learn more about District 12 & its history. You have to read this… but prepare to have your heart smashed!
Fourth Wing
Loved this story — and was not expecting the ending!! This book/setting/plot reminded me a little of The Hunger Games & Divergent. Very good, easy read. The first 50% of the book takes some time to get through, but the last half of the book starts to move a little faster. Very action packed with characters I ended up really liking! Already started book two!
A Court of Silver Flames
This book was my favorite of the series. It was hard to start knowing that Rhys and Feyre were not the main focus anymore, but Nesta’s character and journey are incredible. The plot takes a while to get moving, leaving a lot of character development & relationship building in the first 75% of the book. The last 25% of the book moves very quick. Such a good read!!
A Court of Mist & Fury
This book rewired my brain. No notes, I absolutely loved it. There is a lot of build up leading into the big moments of the book. Super easy read, pulls the heart strings, romantic, adventurous, & passionate. Even better than the first one! The ending made me feel all the emotions.
